About Site Safety Plus (SSP)
Site Safety Plus is a suite of health, safety and enviornmental courses designed by the CITB for the building, civil engineering and allied industries with a range of courses for people seeking to develop skills in this area. Select Health and Safety Ltd have been an approved Site Safety Plus training centre and training provider for over 10 years. We deliver these courses as open sessions at our training venue in Doncaster throughout the year and for any client at their premises or chosen venue anywhere within the United Kingdom. We are also able to deliver this full range of courses online via video conferencing using Teams or Zoom. We always have open courses running at our Doncaster venue throughout the year so if you have a need for these or an online course for your organisation please call us for details.SMSTS 5 Day Course
This 5 day course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff e.g. Site Manager. It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.SMSTS Refresher
This 2 day refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date and provides a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It builds on the material in the original course as well as introducing new subjects. These course is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all Construction Managers on site.
SSSTS 2 Day Course
This 2 day course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff e.g. Site Supervisor, Foreman etc. It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.SSSTS 2 Day Refresher Course
The 1 day refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date and provides a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It builds on the material in the original course as well as introducing new subjects.1 Day Safety Awareness
This course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk. Certification for all these courses are valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the relevant course before the expiry date on your current certificate.
